Mark VanVoorhees CFP®

Mark has 30 years’ experience in estate planning. His educational background includes a master's degree in entrepreneurial transactions from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and personal finance planning from the same institution. Further contributing to his expertise, he holds a Certified Financial Planner™ designation. Mark has been recognized nationally as an expert in his field, and was recently inducted into 2025 class of Who’s Who

 

Mark has a deep understanding of the use of business and private financial planning risk management tools designed to provide growth and preservation of wealth that go beyond the standard commonly traded mechanisms. His advisory practice has been predominantly insurance based providing him with a wealth of real-world problem-solving experience that he utilizes day to day to assist people.

Jeremy Whitmore CFP®

Jeremy has been a Certified Financial PlannerTM since 2019. After serving for over 26 years in the U.S. Army, he attended Central Michigan University, earning a Bachelors of Science in Personal Financial Planning. Upon graduation, he took and passed the Certified Financial PlannerTM Exam, FINRA’s Series 65 Exam, and the Michigan Life and Health Insurance Exam. His specialty is working with individuals and families as they plan for retirement, and their life after. As a Veteran, Jeremy understands the importance of keeping Estate Planning documents up-to-date and communicating that plan to potential heirs. He also understands how overwhelming it can be as you start planning for the future. As the father of a veteran, he also understands the importance of starting early.

William J. Schmidt

Bill Schmidt has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years after a career in the Automobile Industry. After paying for his children to attend college and realizing there was little guidance in preparing for the expense, he created his own company which centers on helping parents and students prepare for college and sharing various methods to help pay for their education, optimizing FAFSA and the financial aid process. Bill also is a Social Security Planning Advisor which enables people to choose the best time to begin their Social Security benefits. As an IAR, Bill obtained his Securities (Series 7 & 66), Life & Health Licenses so he can provide a professional analysis of your financial & family protection needs based on your current and future goals. Financial planning objectives are only as good as the plan you have in place. That’s why I’ve made it my mission as a Fiduciary to provide you with the highest-quality, most relevant information available which will grow and change with you.
